Well yea, the Nazi’s were smart enough to not blow up infrastructure, they invaded through blitzkrieg told the locals step out of line and die, and subdued the local population. It was after that they started the genocide, after they had control of the narrative, and could disappear people by saying they stepped out of line, even if they didn’t. They also didn’t intentionally starve the populace, that was a byproduct of pissing off the world.

The Nazi’s didn’t believe in killing everything and everyone, only those that opposed them, and they did it as efficiently as they could. Interestingly enough the view of Jews themselves being evil, was a direct result of how Jews and Jewish leadership, handled education, business, and money. Because they prioritized education and separatism, they were seen as a direct opposition to how Europe prepared for, fought, and rebuilt after WW1. This combined with racial darwinism made them the target.

They also didn’t intentionally starve the populace, that was a byproduct of pissing off the world.

Given they destroyed ship delivering food to the UK. Knowing the UK imported something like 50+% of all food at the time.

The UK also did much the same. Bombing rail etc.

Starving the population was an intentional side effect of trying to limit resources getting to an enemy.

So the honest answer is things were less efficient.

But starvation has been a common practice since rome. Salting the fieilds etc. And likely before then.

Honestly the Geneva convention was the first time anyone expected otherwise.

Sophisticated murder is still murder. People were still sent to camps based on their ethnicity and were worked or starved to death at least (if you’re about to deny the death camps)

This genocide is more barbaric, bloodthirsty and sloppy but let’s not pretend like the Nazis are suddenly looking better because they were better organized

TIL that Nazis constructed a vast network of industrial slaughterhouses for jews, gays, disabled etc. because Nazi’s didn’t believe in killing everything and everyone, only those that opposed them.

Could we, somehow, just get Mossad to assassinate Putin?

I feel like that might escalate enough to solve both problems without drawing in the rest of the world.
