@atro_city Αγοράζετε ευρωπαϊκά (You may want to capitalize the Ε in ευρωπαϊκά (to Ευρωπαϊκά) - not sure which is more correct).

Thanks! I’ll make a post asking others for help in other languages. I’m 100% sure there are other terrible translations :D

Out of curiosity, what’s wrong with deepl’s translation here?

@atro_city It means “take/receive” (not buy, and even that in ancient greek, and even then, in a single moment - i.e. not continuously which would be Λαμβάνετε) “the european” (singular, neutral gender) - but this opens the question: the european WHAT? The european toy? The european ball? There’s a word missing there. Whereas Ευρωπαϊκά is plural (so it can mean “stuff, in general”, so it’s ok even without another word).

Thank you for the explanation. Languages are fascinating. LLMs still have to go a long way to have good translations. This is what I expected honestly. I know some people who speak languages not often found on the internet and the translations are awful.

@atro_city Maybe the translations would be better if you told the LLM you want this for a slogan on stickers for a campaign you’re doing.

You can’t give DeepL instructions. Just the text you want to translate (just like Google Translate). It’s better than Google Translate for most things.
