      Second that, it’s a fantastic book and despite starting out laying out a grim state of the world it manages to paint a convincing way out of the horror that we created. I want to live in the world KSR imagines.

    How the hell does a society even function at 60c?

    Like, if this is how the world is going to be everywhere, how do we actually do this?

      We’re not going to be the first species to go extinct, but we will be the first ones to do while having the option not to.

        I don’t think it will be extinction, but a very prolonged suffering for whoever ends up “last”.

          Sure, we might not die out entirely, but bad things are certainly coming and we’re likely past the point where we can avoid the horrors.

    I live in Spain and didn’t hear anything about a heat wave. In fact here in the north it’s quite cool. The only place mentioned in the article is Extremadura which has up to 38 degrees in this weather app. That’s a normal summer temperature. It’s easy to survive with plenty of siesta.
