I’ve also looked into 7-OH, which is a legal opioid, and the major active compound in kratom. Without all the other alkaloids, it’s not as hard on the body. The only downsides are that it causes irritation in the gut (leads to nausea, but not due to outright toxicity), and it’s still not healthy to use frequently. However, it’s leagues safer than oxycodone (and the like), while still being quite similar. It even has lower addiction potential. Opioids are merely opiate mimics. We can find safer ones, for individuals in which CBD/THC isn’t effective enough.
Of course, that would involve helping the general public, which seems to be a preposterous idea by American standards.
