It’s not a huge jump, we didn’t evolve to just eat meat like cats did.

Like, you can “survive” on it for a long time, but eventually there’s going to be a bunch of complications.

So they already believe one crazy thing that’s popular enough to have communities, it shouldn’t be shocking to see some go on to believe even crazier shit. It just keeps concentrating the crazy.

Same phenomenon that happens with lots of different groups, at least with this one they’re only hurting themselves I guess.

It is a huge jump. There’s a whole bunch of animals (even mammals) that eat nothing but dead animal. Meat, fat and sometimes bones, aka carnivores…

There is not a single animal that lives purely on fat, so I have no clue why anyone would think that’s a viable diet.

It’s more than that. You can absolutely survive indefinitely eating only animals, but you absolutely need to eat the viscera as well. Eating only the muscle, and none of the fat and organs, would leave you malnourished very quickly, and poison you with excess proteins.

Predators in the wild usually eat the viscera first.
