Today, I paid $7.79 for a dozen, extra large, white, store brand eggs here in New Jersey.

Is egg production really that bad for the planet? Isn’t it a decent source of fertilizer for plant based food production?

Is a carnist anyone who happens to consume animal protein or just any of a dozen or so influencer/charlatans who advocate for meat consumption?

It ranges from people eating meat to people religiousl defending eating meat. I would usually tend towards the latter when using the word. Bloodmouth is another apt one.

Hmmm. Is there a slur for people who eat synthetic meat?

It just occurred to me that I cannot think of a slur for vegans or vegetarians off the top of my head.

The slur is “self righteous pricks” when they behave like the above. I say this as somebody who thinks vegans get a very unfair, underserved bad rap. People like the commenter above give all of them a bad name even though I find most vegans are just trying to live their life their way and don’t lecture folks.

Every vegan and vegetarian I’ve met in person has been pretty normal and non-judgemental about it.
