I have no idea what you’re talking about.
I have no idea what you’re talking about.
I have one Seagate drive. It’s a 500 GB that came in my 2006 Dell Dimension E510 running XP Media Center. When that died in 2011, I put it in my custom build. It ran until probably 2014, when suddenly I was having issues booting and I got a fresh WD 1 TB. Put it in a box, and kept it for some reason. Fast forward to 2022, I got another Dell E510 with only an 80 GB. Dusted off the old 500 GB and popped it in. Back with XP Media Center. The cycle is complete. That drive is still noisy as fuck.
Alien Resurrection. 3 was the David Fincher one on the prison planet.
Oh yeah, I don’t think he’s going to be doing that either. I think this is plain old uninstalling pre-installed HP stuff and hoping for the best kind of situation.
Mint is definitely at LEAST as easy to install as Windows, if not easier. As long as all the stuff on his laptop is supported out of the box. I love my Mint install, but last month I spent 40 minutes on github trying to find the right release of the open driver to work with my revision of network adapter, and the amount of work in the terminal was undoubtedly more than somebody asking this question would be comfortable with.
Yeah, I’d say that is too complex as well. I kinda think his best bet is uninstalling whatever HP crap he can, and just hope for the best.
I’m concerned about OP’s ability to upgrade a drive based on the nature of the question. I’d like to also throw in some help with cloning a drive.
Guy is asking if he can download free software to get more ssd space. And while TECHNICALLY Linux does fit the bill for this (and is awesome), I’m willing to wager OP does not have the technical skill set for it at this time.
I know what I would do with my social credits. I’s get healthy.
Yeah, that sucks. What a pain. I’m pretty lucky, almost all my games are on Steam and run great. And for my old stuff, I still have an XP machine. I don’t have any special software I need to run at home, either. I’ve got NX on my work laptop, and Windows is the company’s problem there. Good luck with 11, I hope it won’t be too much of a pain to debloat for you.
Yeah, agreed. I had to be pulled into 10 kicking and screaming. 7 was great. I got used to 10, but never loved it. And now I guess I’m done with Windows, which is kinda sad. I’ve been using it since Win95.
I have quite a few. My wife’s favorites are Versace Eros, Versace Dylan Blue, and Dior Sauvage. My personal favorites are Mont Blanc Explorer, Mont Blanc Explorer Ultra Blue, and Viktor Rolf Spicebomb Fresh.
Honorable mention to Azzaro The Most Wanted.
The Pontiac Aztek. It had awesome features I’d love to have in my car today. Tailgate with molded seats and cup holders. Speakers facing out of the back. A cooler. Foldable and removable rear seating. MP3 cd player from the factory.
Also, Funko Pops deserve more hate than they get. But I don’t like figures of any kind, I collect staplers.
Meh, I don’t know if it’s strictly a hierarchy thing. I think it’s probably more “just” a heteronormative thing. Closed-minded people who don’t like things or people that are different. Fear of difference. I’m just speculating, here.
I can also see the sexual panic aspect.
That reminds me of a guy at a company party that was making lewd comments about the head of HR. He told the guy next to him he’d f her so hard, sparks would fly out of her vagina. Didn’t realize he was talking to her fiancé. Then, proceeded to grope another female employee. When they called him I to the front office the next day, he honestly had no idea he was getting fired. He thought he was getting a promotion.
OK, so we were having a Christmas luncheon at work. HR made the flyer. It said “Holiday” party. Somebody felt that was part of the war on Christmas, and crossed out Holiday and wrote Christmas. That wasn’t the issue. Another guy took offense to that guy, and made a counterfeit flyer for the company Cthulu summoning. It said that the human sacrifice would be at 12, lunch at 1 so bring a change of clothes. He posted those all over.
That’s a firing.
I got a good chuckle out of that. Nice.
It’s contagious. I caught the Linux over the weekend. It’s the Kubuntu strain of the disease, so I think it’s a mild case. But there’s always a risk it can spread to full-blown Arch.
At least there is dinner and dancing.
