  • When I was first publishing short stories, the best single piece of advice I received was to use thegrinder.diabolicalplots.com It’s a repository of (most) journals and magazines that publish short stories/novellas. Definitely skews more SFF than strictly literary, but it was truly revolutionary in getting my stories to actual publications. I think it does poetry as well, but poetry was always way too difficult for me lol.

Also, if you want someone to beta read your stories just shoot me a DM and I’ll be happy to provide feedback/tips :) Good luck, and don’t get discouraged by rejections in the beginning!

Silly McKay! Mussolini actually said corporate power, not corporations! And also, according to skepticallibertarian.com (lol), he never actually said corporate power anyway! And also, even if he did say it (which we’re distinctly unsure of, but quite sure that you’re lying either way it ends up), corporatism in Italy is way different than corporations in the US! It refers to monopolies, not mega corps which will eventually become monopolies!

Sixteen Pinocchios for you, dumb lefty!

  • I think this is a difference of use case. I use mine for writing long-form prose, so the dry out times aren’t an issue (though I do sometimes slip it into the cap if I’m considering where to go next). The skating is nice because I don’t have to put too much pressure on the pen and get hand cramps. I also like refilling the pen once it gets low, but I have a piston filler so that happens less often than with cartridges.

All that said, if I had to use my fountain pen to take notes in school again, I would absolutely hate it. Quick, random note taking is basically a worst case scenario for a fountain pen, so I do see where you’re coming from. Glad you’re happy with the ballpoints :)
