Listen man, even in the shitty college I went to we weren’t allowed to use Wikipedia as a source. Why? Because it’s often laced with misinformation and has no standards for its citations.

Also when you’re trying to argue against a genocide being CIA propaganda, you cannot site literally the lowest effort citation that the CIA could ever hope for if they wanted to spread propaganda for any given thing.

I hate how it’s always done like this too. When a genocide has been lied about it should be just as televised as when the lying was happening. Mostly because now instead of getting apologies from all of my friends for calling me a genocide denier they’ll just still think it was a genocide and I’ll just never talk to them about it again or else I’ll have to come across as smug.

And resisting urges like that is the only reason I still have any friends in the first place.

After watching how hard he faked taking a puff on Joe Rogan I kind of doubt he’s on any drugs that aren’t prescribed.

I’m not a huge fan of this attitude. It’s the same attitude people have when they say “THE EARTH WILL BE FINE WEATHER WE ARE HERE OR NOT” or “HUMANITY WILL SURVIVE CLIMATE CHANGE”

Like yeah, in all likelyhood it’s not going to be the end of humanity. But that’s not the issue and never has been, it’s making the world shitty for humans to live on, it’s causing untold suffering from famine and wars and drowning and weather disasters and that’s what the urgency is about. THATS what people who care about climate change want to prevent.

Also, it’s such a uniquely North American thing to downplay the invasion of other countries. They went in after 9/11, using a terrorist attacking as an excuse to use war tactics known as “shock and awe” MOAB bombing to make the CITIZENS feel helpless while they literally went and privatized their entire resource economy so that it would go to foreign businesses. Do you understand what that means for a country? How absolutely fucked up that is?

People would do it if they were paid properly to do it. We shouldn’t have to imperialize and impoverish other countries to the point that they have to make dangerous journeys to come to do shitty jobs (and when I say shitty I mean ridiculously underpaid) or else crops will rot. Getting mad at the people for not wanting to do these jobs is aiming your anger at entirely the wrong people.
