Sure a CEO does other shit. It’s all the same stuff a manager would do. You really think that if daddy Musk vanished the literal rocket scientists working there wouldn’t be able to keep doing their work? The trained accountants and managerial staff would curl up under their desks unable to carry on? The value of a CEO is both real, and extremely overstated. They’d have a new CEO before the end of the month.

In a nutshell, yes he runs the company. No it isn’t some badge of genius, he manages a company. Many other people are just as, if not more qualified.

If he keeled over dead SpaceX would keep functioning as it is held up by the actual employees who do the actual work. All a CEO does is provide goals, directions, and demands for more profits. They’re a glorified overpaid manager and those are not in short supply.

Yeah main thing is Ventoy and images for windows 10 and 11. I also have some basic tools, and some portable versions of some games I like (OoT, Warcraft 3, etc).

Helped my dad do tech support for a doc office. Even simple stuff like glucose meters barely worked on windows 7, and broke with windows 10. The web portal they used required a specific version of internet explorer to function. I think the biggest issue is always going to be how slowly these devices work in terms of drivers and software compatibility. For security and cost reasons, I’d guess.

I think it’s also worth keeping in mind that some people use AI to generate “real sounding” content for clicks, or for scams, rather than making actual decent content. I’d argue humans making shitty content is going to be on a much worse scale as AI helps automate it. The other thing is I worry AI can’t as easily tell human or AI made bullshit from decent content. I may know the top 2 google results are AI gen clickbait, but whatever is scraping content en masse may not bother to differentiate. So it might become an exponential issue.
