Hmm, it says “for the Fediverse”, and “a platform”, so I would assume it’s talking about a new service, Dansup has already built around a dozen different services, so I wouldn’t be surprised about him building a new one
But I agree with you, it’s a stretch goal, so it’s prob low on priority

Okay, but if you’re Friendica user you can natively interact with ActivityPub services like Lemmy or Mastodon, and there are addons enabled on some instances adding BlueSky and Tumblr as well, so if you know anyone using them, you’ll be able to interact with them
Also if you’re interested in following people you don’t know, there’s Friendica directory, so you’ll not be alone
It’s pretty dead, a lot of pods has closed down last year and it continues to shrink, they could maybe reverse the process by supporting ActivityPub or other additional protocol, but they have refused, and diaspora* protocol hasn’t gained any additional traction, sooo…

Good that so, I am surprised how many mods just straight up ignore or support glorification of violence, respect to him for enforcing the rules consistently even if it’s an unpopular decision
Wasn’t it known/confirmed since Twitter made their algorithm partially open source? (I think it was a year ago or so)
