  • Couldn’t be more true.

It’s mind numbing watching syrians in the west glaze jolani. It’s like the first few months into the Russian-Ukraine war, I just want the honeymoon phase to end so people can finally see him for what he is. It’s like they haven’t learned from this whole Ukraine debacle that the “tankies” they keep attacking end up being right.

Once this civil war starts every fucking dumbass that waxed poetics about jolani is going to have to explain why the islamist is doing islamist things. There will be no peace in syria until he’s gone.

Edit: I know reddit is filled with feds and westoid failsons/faildaughters but this sent me. The syria sub is filled with zionists and westoids salivating at the sight of jolani.

  • I was thinking of that.

His immediate rise to power, coupled with the occupation of Syrian land by zionists (who plan to build bases in syria), plus the intense repression and violence against Christians, Alawites, Shias, Kurds, and secular assad loyalists spelled his demise early into his reign.

He really has two options going forward.

    1. Address the zionist entity’s occupation of Syrian soil militarily.

    2. Don’t address the occupation and leave entire sects of Syrian society to fend for themselves.

The first scenario will not happen, 99.99% chance that jolani and his regime will sit by and watch zionists take more Syrian land.

With regards to the 2nd scenario:

The failure to address the zionist entity will shatter the regime’s power. Too many in syria have been attacked by the regime, resistance groups will spring up as sects of Syrian society fight against the regime.

Infact they already have, I’m not even referring to the assad loyalists (Syrian tiger force; they were one of the units that was confused by the orders to pull back while islamists took over swaths of Syrian), there is also a shia group that shot at the occupation soldiers a few months back (their name escapes me at the moment.) The Druze in syria have repeatedly denied the entity and have voiced their desire to be left alone. The Druze may need to defend themselves against the entity in the near future. The entity’s violence will spread to the Shias and Alawites, forcing them to defend themselves against both the regime and the zionists. The Kurds will be under attack by the new regime as well as Turkish islamists, once again forcing them to defend themselves.

Jolani won’t let any of this slide ofc, and he will send his islamist slime to rape, pillage, destroy, murder syrians as a way to consolidate power and project power into the minds of syrians.

He will use terror, as he has always done.

All this to say; Syria will be thrown into a new civil war very soon. This time however, jolani will be everything western propaganda tried to make out of assad. This was will be bloody, but I don’t see jolani’s regime staying. He will be ousted in the end.

I can’t say I’m happy this is happening, but the sooner he and his islamist slime regime are removed from power the better.

It’s unfortunate that syrians will have to deal with another civil war, but that’s what happens when you deal with western backed islamists.

  • One thing I’d love for lemmygrad is to have a pinned post about western media and media discipline. I’ve seen more than a few posts that link MEE, NYT, Al-jazeera, etc uncritically for news.

While I believe we should know what the western media outlets have to say about current events, it’s also true that we should strongly emphasize the use of left-wing and non-western outlets. We need a mix of western/non left and non-western/left news media to avoid being an echo chamber, while having a realistic grasp of current situations.

A couple weeks ago I called out a post for linking a story from the NYT regarding the “ceasefire” between Lebanon (not Hezbollah) and the entity. My goal was to point out that uncritically accepting stories from western outlets wasn’t good for lemmygrad. The post was removed, but I still see more western outlets being linked than non-western for news on West Asia and Ukraine.

It’s just a nitpick, and I would be happy to write a master post (in a few months, I’m busy rn) about how to critically engage with media, media discipline (what is and isn’t a primary or secondary source), and just basic stuff about misinformation vs disinformation.

I feel like lemmygrad users, and the site in general, would greatly benefit.
