I believe you are correct.
I believe you are correct.
watt vs watt-hour.
An 800 watt solar system would generate about 5 kwh per day if setup fairly optimally. 5 kwh is a pretty typical laptop battery capacity. 50-100wh is typical for a laptop battery.
The intent is the most difficult element to determine. To constitute genocide, there must be a proven intent on the part of perpetrators to physically destroy a national, ethnical, racial or religious group. Cultural destruction does not suffice, nor does an intention to simply disperse a group. It is this special intent, or dolus specialis, that makes the crime of genocide so unique. In addition, case law has associated intent with the existence of a State or organizational plan or policy, even if the definition of genocide in international law does not include that element.
Importantly, the victims of genocide are deliberately targeted - not randomly – because of their real or perceived membership of one of the four groups protected under the Convention (which excludes political groups, for example). This means that the target of destruction must be the group, as such, and not its members as individuals. Genocide can also be committed against only a part of the group, as long as that part is identifiable (including within a geographically limited area) and “substantial.”

Colloquially, it’s genocide, but legally it does not appear to be. And that’s a problem if you’re trying to charge Israel with genocide in a court of law. Inevitably it’s going to be found to not be genocide and that’s one more thing Israel can point to. Crimes against humanity would probably been a better route.
It’s going to be hard, if not impossible to show in court that Israel, as a policy, is deliberately targeting Palestinians. Showing Isael’s actions is resulting in shit tons of civilian casualties seems pretty easy. Maybe there’s super secret documents that show it’s a deliberate act, but I highly doubt they’d be that dumb if genocide is their intention.
Sorry, no, absolutely not.
This should be a federal thing. No reasonable person should be debating if a person should receive life saving care or not.
Reasonable people can disagree with little things, like how high a fence can be in your front yard, not if someone should die because other people don’t have a modest grasp of high school biology.
Further, the latest batch of Ukraine spending was funded by cutting funds to the IRS, so we’re not only losing money now, but in the future too.
Yeah, blame the republicans for that one.
No, it isn’t, because our government doesn’t mandate a living wage nor regulate the prices of war materials,
You may not like what is being produced, but the jobs producing arms are good paying.
and in fact, there’s been extensive reporting on price gouging in the war industry.
For sure. It never should have been privatized.
The big priorities for Biden seem to be making up ways to get more of our money dumped into Ukraine
We are not sending pallets of cash to Ukraine. The money is buying arms and equipment that is being sent to Ukraine. The arms and equipment are produced here, in the US. The VAST majority of the money is going into the US economy. It’s literally creating good paying jobs here in the US.
They got worms and need to drag their bum on the carpet to scratch…
“I’m not touching you, I’m not touching you!” the child screamed… But the yard duty was not fooled.
Home owners insurance is going to pay out and sue the ever-loving crap out of everyone to recoup.
Like shipping containers, or cardboard boxes of bullets?
Gym Jordan says they’re optional anyways.
There seems to be a concerted effort to try and smear liberals/democrats here lately. Attention grabbing headline that not untrue, just purposefully distorting the reality by conveniently leaving out important information.
There was a post yesterday that has since disappeared titled “California governor Newsom vetoes bill that would have set a $35 cap for insulin”, which conveniently left out that it was a copay cap, not a real cap making it a worthless token gesture.
Question is will any colleges of value accept such an exam?
Yes, and any college that does should be a giant red flag to prospective students. (edit missread you)
No college of value will accept and any college that does should be a giant red flag to prospective students.
I really hope the young people in Florida are paying attention to just how fucked their prospects are due to republican governance.
More realistically Ukraine has been requesting them for a while and the US finally gave in since the UK gave them some recently.
Someone with more experience can correct me, but I doubt you’ll get enough energy transfer via the radiator in the house.
I think you’d get a lot more mileage out of an attic fan. Keeping the attic cooler during the day will slow the heating of the house.
You may also want to take a look at better roofing materials. There are roofing materials designed to reflect more of the sun’s energy as well as radiate what heat does get absorbed better than others.
This is my current hope that the sane states can cobble something together and hopefully hire a lot of the talent at those agencies that will be looking for work.
