I think we might see China overtake the US’s naval power sooner then people think. Ships don’t last forever and large of percentage of the US’s existing ships are aging, meanwhile practically all of China’s current navy was built in the last 25 years with no signs of slowing down.

The ASEAN countries joining seems like a big deal since they were supposed to be the US’s alternatives to China’s manufacturing. The only other big alternative is Mexico who is also drifting closer to BRICS.

It kind of reminds of a past job I had where a co-worker recently contacted me and told me he quit.
