The DNC needs to be burned to ashes. The Democratic Party needs to go the way of the whigs.

We’re caught in a coordinated action problem here. The DNC is terrible and is impossible to change. Yet, every 4 years, they trot out another shit candidate, and anyone left of the Nazis has to support them simply because they are the “only option.”

What we need to do is have a movement or petition that makes it abundantly clear that the Democratic Party is dead. We need Democratic voters, by the millions, to sign a pledge promising NOT to vote for whatever candidate the Dems nominate.

Imagine if we had 20 million people who voted for Kamala pledged to never support a Democratic presidential candidate ever again. They pledge this and pledge to support the Working Families Party or similar. That would be enough that it would doom any potential Democratic candidate in the future.

The only thing the DNC has going for it is the sense of inevitability. Every four years, they’re the only rational choice, so we have to support them. What we need to do now is to forever take away that ability from them. It needs to be made clear that the Democratic Party will never win an election again. America’s system means that two parties are inevitable, but that doesn’t mean we can’t swap out one party for another.

If enough people make clear that they will simply never support the Democratic Party ever again, then its spell is broken. If 20 million people pledged this, suddenly the “inevitability” would switch to the Working Families Party. Any presidential candidates on the left wanting any hope of winning the presidency would have to run in the Working Families primary.

Why is deporting protesters a worse crime than being complicit in the murder of tens of thousands of civilians?

And remember, we’re talking about sins Trump might commit. But more often then not he’s just rambling and bluster. People judged Biden based on the crimes he actually committed. He was complicit in the deaths of tens of thousands of people. That’s not rhetoric or bluster, those are people he actually had a hand in murdering.

If anything, so far at least, Biden’s crimes vastly, vastly outweigh Trump’s in regards to Gaza. Trump is threatening, but still hasn’t yet, deported protesters. Biden is complicit in the deaths of tens of thousands of innocent people. Trump, admittedly through crooked means, actually managed to get a cease fire passed.

It’s possible that in the future Trump’s crimes will outstrip Biden’s. But Trump promises a lot of things that never actually end up happening. He says he would like to ethnically cleanse Gaza, but until he actually follows through on that, Biden’s crime in regards to Gaza are objectively far, far worse than Trump’s. Trump has the potential to eventually end up the greater villain. But right now, on January 30 2025, in terms of Gaza, Biden objectively has a far worse record than Trump.

You’re judging the two men based on Trump’s rhetoric, bluster, and what he might do. The people you’re reacting to are judging Biden based on the things he actually did, not the things he promised to do.

You’re a short-term voter. The people you’re railing against are long-term voters. Short-term thinking is what has got us into this mess.

And it’s not like it’s easy for a trans woman to get into a woman’s prison anyway. The vast majority of trans women were already held in male prisons. This order affects mostly people who have all their legal documents changed, have been on hormones for years, and have had surgery. You’re talking about people that if you met them on the street, you would assume they were cis women. Hell, you would suspect they were cis women if you saw them on a nude beach. Before this executive order, you pretty much had to be that far in transition before you would be allowed to serve your time in a women’s prison.

Also, hormones for trans people aren’t just about psychological well being. If you’re post-bottom surgery, your body doesn’t produce sex hormones anymore. A post-op trans women needs to take estrogen, not just for her own psychological well being, but for basic metabolic functioning. Being without sex hormones causes all sorts of medical problems, such as rapid early onset osteoporosis.

The BOP is telling trans women, “because of my religion, we’re going to melt your bones.”

How to address superintelligence, if that is actually something we realistically face:

1. Make creating an unlicensed AI with over a certain threshold to be a capital offense.

2. Regulate the field of artificial intelligence as heavily as we do nuclear science and nuclear weapons development.

3. Have strict international treaties on model size and capability limitations.

4. Have inspection regimes in place to allow international monitoring of any electricity usage over a certain threshold.

5. Use satellites to track anomalous large power use across the globe (monitored via waste heat) and thoroughly investigate any large unexplained energy use.

6. Target the fabs. High powered chips should be licensed and tracked like nuclear materials.

7. Make clear that a nuclear first strike is a perfectly acceptable response to a nation state trying to create AGI.

Anyone who says this technology simply cannot be regulated is a fool. We’re talking models that require hundreds of megawatts or more to run and giant data centers full of millions of dollars worth of chips. There’s only a handful of companies on the planet producing the hardware for these systems. The idea that we can’t regulate such a thing is ridiculous.

I’m sorry, but I put the survival of the human race above your silly science project. If I have to put every person on this planet with a degree in computer science into a hole in the ground to save the human race, that is a sacrifice I am willing to make. We should ban the teaching of religion to anyone under the age of 18, possibly even 25. Kids just aren’t old enough to make big meaningful decisions about religion, baptism, confirmation, etc.

2. In that post, blue maga folks will say, “well, for some reason all the leftists who spoke against Biden have mysteriously disappeared. We never hear from them again. I guess they were all just Russian plants.”

3. In the comments, they receive numerous comments from leftists who didn’t vote for Kalama, or in my case, someone who did vote for Kamala, but still fully understands why people didn’t vote for her.

4. Blue maga downvotes the Hell out of the leftist post instead of engaging in good faith. They downvote until their posts cannot be seen anymore.

5. Blue maga goes on pretending that the anti-genocide leftists have all just mysteriously disappeared.

There is a fundamental problem with slapping up tariffs with reckless abandon. After putting out enough tariffs, you find that all you have done is erect a trade embargo around your own nation.

Tariffs work if they are few and targeted. A tariff against a rogue nation as punishment for an invasion or covert nuclear program? That works, as you can effectively isolate the offender. But if you apply tariffs broadly, it soon becomes obvious that it is you who is the outsider, not the nations you are tariffing. All the nations you tariff can simply trade with each other and ignore you entirely.

No nation is indispensable to international trade. The South thought that King Cotton would save the South. They thought that without access to the South’s cotton, the British empire would be forced to intervene on the side of the Confederacy. Instead, all that happened was that the British eventually shifted cotton production to Egypt and India.

No nation is indispensable. No nation produces goods of such quality and affordability that the entire world trade system will bend the knee to accommodate their whims. You can put up a few targeted tariffs and keep things running. But if you apply them recklessly, eventually the global trade system simply cuts your nation out of international trade routes entirely, abandons you, and leaves you to your demons.

What if instead you hid an encrypted signal within an otherwise perfectly legible audio signal? Imagine a song being played. To the ear the song seems perfectly normal. But, unbeknownst to a casual listener, there is an encrypted signal embedded within the audio signal. For example, data could be embedded within a song by ever-so-slightly raising or lowering the pitch of a song multiple times per second. Then if you had a copy of the original file, software could compare the original file to the song transmitted over the radio. The locations where the pitch rose or fell could be noted, and the data could be retrieved. You could send encrypted data without anyone realizing you’re sending encrypted data. To anyone else listening, it would simply sound like a song or other audio track being played.
