I’m not putting a value judgemental on empathy, I’m just restating that those on the left have more, and those on the right have less. (Which, again, just looking at behaviour, surprises nobody. )

Though, too be fair, I do prefer to hang out with empathetic people.

Never said my side was righteous. I said that one of the main differences between the left and right is empathy. This isn’t an opinion, it’s peer reviewed fact.

Maybe it’s a North America thing, tho. It’s quite possible that the euro flavor of right wing is a more empathetic group.

I didn’t say they were “all bad.” I said they lacked empathy and I wasn’t interested in being friends with them.

IBM sold “inmate” counting machines to Nazi Germany. Like, sent techs there to the camps to size up the requirements and everything. It should NOT come as a surprise that they’re back on X - they’ve never had an issue with Fascism (or any other ism) as long as they had money to spend on overpriced iron.

Worked at IBM. Co-worker was in the datacenter, saw a bluescreened machine, and rebooted it. Much chaos ensued. Machine was part of a stability testing project, team running it was OTW to the DC to look at the machine, and were very confused when they arrived that it was running. “Helpful guy” was chastised, given a warning about touching machines that weren’t his responsibility.

Two weeks later. Same guy. Same machine. Same bluescreen. Guess what he did? He rebooted it. Again.

Walked to the door that day.

Do we need AI for this? It’s already super easy to tell fake news from real.
