Seriously though, I tried putting FreeBSD on my Linux laptop a few years ago and it was not a fun time. Reminded me a lot of running Linux on desktop in the 2000s when I first discovered Linux.

I’m rooting for them though. I like the idea of keeping development and documentation so tightly integrated and maintained by a single dedicated company.

They created a novel and interesting approach to ads with their BAT token and Brave is probably the most private browser you can get if you’re stuck with Chromium browsers.

People don’t like their worldview challenged, but when your worldview is absurd and without evidence you’ll constantly be dealing with these challenges as people learn and ask more questions. If itt turns out the sun isn’t actually pulled across the sky by a god on a chariot every day, then what else is just nature and not a god? It disrupts your society, and has to be put down and people need to be distracted away from questioning the gods (and the people in high positions).

Religion has always been at war with curiosity, reason and (new) evidence. It’s the nature of being based on a fallacy, which is the assertion that god(s) exist without proof.

I laughed but I dunno about you guys but I don’t publicly self host anything. If you can’t auth via ssh or VPN then you’re not accessing a damn thing from my home network. I’ve got multiple routers that I could set up some isolation with but it’s just too close to home.
