Most of my playlists are actually by artist. Silly as it sounds I will put whole albums by the same artist in release order into new playlists by their name so I can just ask Siri to “play playlist <artist name>” and listen to the albums in order as I tend to listen to whole albums. The other playlists are like my year in review playlists that were automatically generated and some curated playlists like “weekly new music” and “top alternative” type stuff that I didn’t create but added and listen to often.

If I want a mix of stuff I like, I don’t turn to playlists anymore and instead I just ask Siri to “play some music” because the “just for you” radio is so good that I get tons of hits and top songs for my own taste as well as discover tons of new to me music that gets sprinkled in that the algorithm finds for me.

If the “play some music” stuff ends up not what I want to hear right then, I’ll just make the same request again or “play some different music” and it will switch to other music it knows I like. This is helpful when one request sends me down electronic path when I want more alt rock, etc.

What’s more, all keyless cars still have a fob with proximity and if the fob dies, they legally have to have a way to start the car without the fob battery which is why they all have an nfc reader somewhere (usually in a cup holder) so you can put you dead fob on it and the car will start like normal.

I’ve been using Debian for many years now. The hardest part about switching my desktop to arch (partly to try something different, partly for later kernel / tools) was not that arch is difficult, but that I need to type ‘sudo pacman -S’ instead of ‘sudo apt install’ to install new packages. I disagree. It’s not a remix, it’s a rework/edit which is designed to maximize the amount of streaming revenue on platforms such as Spotify. We saw the same thing with “skit” songs and interludes as well as 30+ track album releases. All to get more plays on streaming, at the expense of the art.

I think Epics would be a great addition, based on how I currently plan to use this.

Very neat, excited to demo this later this weekend. Is it possible to add multiple swimlane groups that can be filtered by tags? That is, not just add a vertical swimlane but add a whole new horizontal group so it’s visually separate with the same vertical lanes, but each horizontal section automatically filters by some criteria.

KVM + LookingGlass + VirtManager should be the way to go. I don’t have a good complete tutorial on this right now though. But good place to start looking.

GPT4ALL for chat and Automatic1111 for generative with downloaded models works great. The former does not require a gpu but the later generally does.

Honestly… in my opinion hdmi needs to die. DisplayPort is superior in every way, especially when driving from thunderbolt/usb4. We are so close to one port for everything, even if we have to continue dongle hell for a while longer.

Yeah definitely DO NOT regularly clean the filter if your machine has one. Never ever ever experiment with different amounts of detergent to determine the correct amount to use and absolutely NEVER be mindful of the orientation of the dishes as you load them.
