I guess it depends on how the word is used. I think of obsession as strictly a personal thing, and almost everyone I know wants 0 or 1 car because it’s difficult to get around without it. I’d consider that practical instead on excessive. Though I guess you could argue wanting your one car to be bigger or more expensive is excessive
Don’t get me wrong, the culture definitely favors cars over pedestrians. I just don’t think I’d use the word obsessive to represent that relationship
Edit: spelling
That’s a pretty ridiculous headline imo
I’m sure if there had been an open primary he would have ran. If he said this before the election and the result was the same, then you’d have people here saying “He should have campaigned for them and saved these statements for after the loss”
No, it’s not. People often forget where they got it from, and it might have been in the wrong place to begin with or already expired. Take it to the front.
Sincerely, someone who worked at a grocery store
I think there’s some misconceptions about this that need to be cleared up. If you don’t want it and you’ve already moved away from the section, the best thing to do is take it to the register and say you don’t want it. Then what typically happens is it gets put in a take-back cart and the employees take care of it
They can still play a part of the war machine. Being physically within Russia makes it easier for the government to apply pressure for economic and reputational support
Daylio has 10M+ downloads on Google Play
On Google Play, Insight Timer has 5M+ downloads and is Editors’ Choice. It is not a small app, and it’s constantly trying to get you to pay for premium. I have never cared about or noticed low quality audio until trying to use this app. It’s been a very weird experience trying to relax and noticing how poor the recordings sound. I assume this is another upsell thing
This apps seems to be poorly rated. What has your experience been?
There seems to be little information online about the organization who runs it, Exchange Initiative. They have an inactive Facebook account and an abandoned website. I don’t see myself using this without having more assurance on its efficacy and privacy policies
I listened to an interview recently, I believe on BBC, where the interviewee said the biggest issue with peace talks is that the international community isn’t able to trust Putin to keep his word on whatever is agreed upon. I hadn’t considered that, but it makes a lot of sense and I’m not sure how that could change
A local political commentator put out this scathing review of her voting record and spending. Curious what other folks think about it because it seems pretty damming
Please clap
I tried watching a video of his once because I was genuinely interested in the subject. There were so many jump cuts it was unwatchable. Now I know all YouTube videos for kids are like that
That’s a fair stance. But practically I don’t know what “Trumpism” will look like if he continues to not be in office. From my perspective it’s been a bit frozen in time since losing in 2020. Until the campaign ratcheted up, I didn’t know what he was saying or his position on current political affairs. So time and relevancy seems to be working against him, at least his direct influence. And if he dies I think there will be a lot of in-fighting when it comes to “What Would Trump Do” and will probably morph into something new altogether
RE: #2
When interviewing try to show genuine interest in the job and research to ask good questions. Care about it in the moment, then try to emotionally disconnect afterwards
IMO most pro-Haley support was inherently anti-Trump. That’s essentially what her campaign boiled down to, and I suspect she sincerely thought he will lose. If so, she’ll be well-positioned for another run, assuming two Trump losses will be seen as a death nail to his support (which might not occur, who knows, he could very well run again in delusion)
I played high-end games I couldn’t otherwise play, often at a discount, and then they refunded me at the end anyway. Pretty sweet deal
I’m not sure what specifically you’re referring to, but algorithms are, generally speaking, code. You can purchase a company and their code.
This is common debate and there’s plenty of angles to it. VPN companies are definitely guilty of fear mongering in their advertising and trying to market them as an easy way to achieve privacy or anonymity, which is false. Tom Scott’s video covers this well. This overview is also pretty good at explaining what it is and isn’t. If you don’t trust your ISP or are using public/free wifi, VPNs can be useful. VPNs aren’t inherently trustworthy either, though, especially free ones that might be harvesting your data. Even a well-intentioned VPN that doesn’t retain logs can rent servers that government entities can (theoretically) bug to get your data (if they really wanted to).
