I want an internet where admins don’t control the world. Where moderators don’t become megalomaniacs that get to control the way submissions and comments get banned without reason.

I’ve done training dives in man made quarries under zero visibility conditions. There’s no way in hell I’d go into an actual cave under those conditions.

It was bad enough when you’d almost run into a purposefully placed sculpture or bathtub in that flooded quarry.

You had to do a scavenger hunt to find stuff to pass your training and it was super disorienting.

I don’t know if PADI still does that sort of thing or if it was unique to my training center conditions but it was wild.

That’s why early age sex education is equally important. Porn isn’t going away. Being proactive and teaching that there are ground rules to consent and that “no means no” is huge.

There should always be a clear line between experimentation and outright molestation and that’s what modern sex ed should be emphasizing.

“Do you mind if we try this?” or “I saw this in a porno, can we try it?” should be normalized just as much as “When were you last tested?” or the simple “Are you ok with this? We’re about to have sex, right?”

Good sex as a whole is about experimenting, learning, respect, and, most importantly, consent. I personally wouldn’t have learned how to be a bit creative without some help from porn.

I’m not gonna lie, I learned some of my best moves by hitting that “Sure, I’m 18” button back in the day. Or I pirated it. And for previous generations, can you imagine age-blocking a box of porn in the woods?

Fair point. But, medically and developmentally speaking there are people with a lower mental capacity that literally can’t read. The entire adult care industry exists for a reason. Those people need something to do so they don’t simply waste away.
