  • How’s he wrong?

Did you actually listen to what he said or are you just reading the headline and making it fit another narrative to respond to?

Because he also said he thinks it’s going to change the world, he just hates the marketing BS that’s overhyping it.

Probably because, as anyone who’s actually used AI knows, it has some core weaknesses. But the marketers are happy to gloss over that lie and just say that it will be able to do nearly anything.

He said it’s interesting, but to give it five years to see how it’s actually useful, which is probably the most sane take you can have about AI imo.

So you think they’re against the invasion of Ukraine, and would like to see Israel hit with sanctions as well?

Because that wasn’t the impression I was getting.

I think we can all agree that what Russia and Israel are doing is horrific. Israel should be sanctioned as well, rather than letting Russia off…

All the responses from the Russian devs appear to skirt around the issue, the massive elephant in the room.

If I were removed due to sanctions against my country because of their invasion of another country, I wouldn’t feel I had any right to complain.

If I were to complain, it would be about the actions of my country and the consequences due to that, rather than acting like it’s outrageous to be removed.

I understand making those complaints is complicated for a Russian, but giving backlash like this really does give the impression that they don’t give a shit about, or even support, the invasion.

  • Reducing it to one year made sense, one year down to 10 days is actually a fucking massive difference. Practically speaking, it’s a far, far bigger change than 8 years down to 1.

This isn’t just an “ongoing trend” at this point, it would be a fundamental change to the way that certificates are managed i.e. making it impossible to handle renewals manually for any decently sized business.
