“Making the most of your Micro” sounds like a fun weekend
YES: The (false) promise of making American great again
BUT: Commercializing the process and taking the cheapest possible option to shill yourself.

It’s not one of the ones that’s public on his page, but the caption above that was cropped out says YES BUT.
Oh totally. I don’t doubt increased survivability with all the additional safety features in modern cars compared to old ones.
However, all the other little stuff that has nothing to do with safely delivering passengers have made them demonstrably more distracting, most notably the touch screen. Me, personally, I’d prefer to avoid the crash entirely.
You can take a car from the early 2000’s, add the extra airbags and crumple zone tech that we’ve developed over the years, and you’d have a much safer car than what they’re putting out now.
I’m lucky enough that I’ve got a barebones 2003 that still runs great. Analog gauges, double DIN radio slot, and nothing else. Every time I get in a modern car, it’s information overload.
I don’t need a ball coddler. I need 4 wheels and a reliable engine.
Cars should be treated a lot more like factory equipment and a lot less like a living room on wheels.
Sure, for storage. I’m more concerned about first party sources for high quality rips. The only thing left will be streaming rips, which just don’t compare on a proper display, especially once HDR gets involved.
It’s like if they just stopped selling CDs and all you could find were YouTube rips anymore.
This entire album is beautiful. I’m a particular fan of Fire Escape.
Having watched some of my favorites on Netflix, even with their 4K offering, the compression can kill a scene. Netflix has no incentive to provide the 0.1% of viewers who care about a better quality stream, so they don’t.
This is truly disappointing. The end of a physical media era and nothing on the horizon to replace it.
But this move to streaming libraries, where there is no ownership and the movies and shows you watch could simply disappear without warning, reminds us how fleeting life can be.
No, it reminds me our corporate overlords will continue to take away things that don’t make them a continuous stream of free money.
With my boss, I flip randomly from 👍 to 👌 to 🖕
Voyager on iPhone as well
This is where I am. There are a lot of fancy features that modern graphics cards have that I want to make sure work with all my AAA titles. I have a Linux laptop for near everything that isn’t a game.
I know there’s a lot of people on Lemmy that feel differently, but I am a bit of a bleeding edge graphics whore. I like my raytracing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Spy Kids 4D
Okami just had its sequel teased after about 15 20 years. I’m excited to see what they do with it.
edit: 2006 was not 20 years ago! :(
It got reposted at low res at some point and then someone tried an AI upscale to try and make it better.
But I don’t have a high score! How am I supposed to win?!
Thankfully USB-C can handle both of those protocols. Just like with Micro USB and Mini before it, it will just take time until the ecosystem catches up. Just, this time, you can run the entirety of possible data streams through a single port.
Fry’s Electronics is no longer a thing. Microcenter is all that’s left to my knowledge.
