Given that this is an English-language community for amusingly coincidental names I don’t think we’d have been able to appreciate the joke without the translation!
How do you see which storage region you’re using?
Any running Linux, see !linuxphones@lemmy.ca / !linuxphones@lemmy.ml for more
I don’t run any servers and leccy is expensive, they go off when I’m done using them!
Thanks, I’ll keep an eye on the projects and maybe switch at some point
Is it stable enough to recommend for non-techy users? Set-and-forget sounds ideal for someone who doesn’t understand (and doesn’t really need to understand) all the updates their machine is doing.
Isn’t bazzite fedora-based? Meaning you use dnf
instead of apt
or pacman
.
How do you have rclone set up? I thought I had it working but it’s turned out to be way more complex than I initially thought!
You could try searching your browser history chronologically for a website that sounds like the one you’re looking for
We use HockeyApp for crash reporting and Firebase messaging for push notifications to keep your vault in sync. If you don’t want those features, you can use the F-Droid build.
Explanation, just so everyone doesn’t think they’re included just for fun
Different use cases, innit? I have several personal machines, a work machine, and infinite containers and VMs to deal with so it’s not worth it for me. If you’re always on the same machine and can easily take your config with you to the next one then more power to you!
I would probably disagree with this advice, certainly for anyone who uses more than one machine. Setting up lots of specific aliases means you’re learning a unique system, and all your muscle memory becomes useless every time you’re in a container or SSHing somewhere without your tweaks.
To add to this there’s a project called linux-surface which provides a custom kernel to work with the surface (and a load of general advice). There’s also a subreddit if you still go to the old place and a few decent discussion threads if you search “surface” in this very community.
It kind of is Windows’ fault for letting them fuck about in kernel space though, right?
Wait a minute, this isn’t !linuxmemes@lemmy.world!
Don’t hold your breath, the plan is (or was) to initially just release it for other handhelds rather than an iso you can install anywhere
Is it? What email client can’t do any kind of soft word-wrapping?
Simplification is when I tell my grandma to just use the password manager built into chrome. BitWarden provides security, and if you’re already accessing it with 2FA as you should then this change shouldn’t even affect you!
