That’s just salaried folks though. The vast majority of american workers are hourly or contractors. Per the Dept of Labor’s own site:
The Wage and Hour Division is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the welfare of the nation’s workforce with a focus on low-wage, underserved workers. In fiscal year 2023, we successfully recovered over $274 million in back wages and damages for more than 163,000 workers nationwide.
Wage theft is when employers don’t properly pay their employees and is a HUGE problem because it isn’t always out of malevolence, it can be as simple as the time clock not properly computing overtime, etc.
If you don’t think that $274 million is large amount, think about how the vast majority of these things never get reported to the authorities; that number should be higher.

Surprised it hasn’t been mentioned, but Electric Vehicles in general. I remember wishing for them to be a thing when I used to drive my family’s gas-guzzling vehicles. If you look outside of Tesla, there are plenty of options even affordable ones, it might Leaf you in disbelief.
Yes! I grew up with Warhammer, and I can’t tell you how many times as a teen I wished I could just make my own minis, or print something specific to add on while kitbashing.
Fast forward to today and I have a resin printer, unfortunately my free time is a bit less than it was 20 years ago so it doesn’t see as much use as I’d like. God I feel old.
^This. I can tell every time my pc updates by the fact that nothing ever works correctly anymore.
Literally just downloaded video drivers yesterday due to this, and I have the vast majority of auto updates turned off for windows… Every update moves me closer to switching Os entirely.
Another well known source since I wasn’t familiar with Ops news source
For all you non-Americans wondering about this, some US states have setup the registration for selective services (draft) differently, and you don’t have to do anything extra like the article implies.
The state of Virginia for example requires:
" Every male applicant for a learner’s permit, driver’s license, commercial driver’s license, special identification card, or renewal of any such permit, license, or card who is less than twenty-six years old and is either a citizen of the United States or an immigrant shall, at the time of his application, be registered in compliance with the requirement of section 3 of the Military Selective Service Act"
The DMV just submits the info you filled in for the license/ learner’s permit to selective services on your behalf
Just fyi, it wasn’t just Biden who was lead to believe that: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/3/21/october-7-forensic-analysis-shows-hamas-abuses-many-false-israeli-claims
But the investigation by the I-Unit, which examined hours of footage from CCTV, dashcams, personal phones and headcams of killed Hamas fighters, has also found that many of the stories that came out in the days following the attack were false.
These include claims of atrocities such as the mass killing and beheading of babies as well as allegations of widespread and systematic rape – stories that were used repeatedly by politicians in Israel and the West to justify the ferocity of the subsequent bombardment of the Gaza Strip, which has so far killed nearly 32,000 people. ‘Cannot tell whether they are gunmen or hostages’
After a thorough analysis of all available data, the I-Unit concluded that claims by the Israeli army that it found eight burned babies at a house in Kibbutz Be’eri were untrue. The analysis found that there were no babies in the house, and the 12 people inside were almost certainly killed by Israeli forces when they stormed the building.
This was one of a number of incidents where the police and army appear to have killed Israeli citizens. The I-Unit identified 19 such victims, but the true figure is likely to be higher. It also identified 27 captives who died between their homes and the Gaza fence in circumstances that have not been explained.
Can’t find the article at the moment, but there was another one where they interviewed 2 of the civilians pushing the sexual violence and dead babies myths; 1 was truly reticent and ashamed of what he said happened after being shown evidence to the contrary and the other gentleman was a racist zionist who refused to change his story when confronted with facts and evidence.
TLDR: Israelis who witnessed the aftermath of the Oct 7th attack were provided further info about their claims being wrong, 1 tries to right his wrong, the other holds onto the false tale because he a zionist. A lot of false info was going around in the beginning due to the chaos that had not been properly vetted or verified by intelligence and reporting agencies. Not saying people weren’t sexually abused, because lets be honest, men are garbage and there’s a good percentage of men who would sexually assault if they knew there would be no consequences.
N.B. I am not a fan of the European, Zionist invaders given territory out of white guilt nor the dumb pigs that want to kill others because of the wrong imaginary friend or shade of brown skin.
Here’s to hoping it’s just saber-rattling to remind the feds how important it is to the nation. CA standards benefit way more than just CA residents; i.e. giving other states framework to adopt similar legislation (like emission standards) or even HR practices. Anecdotally, I worked for a CA based company at an east coast office; when they laid a portion of the workforce off, they paid severance to all affected even though many of us were in ‘right to work’ states.
