I used to work next to a huge arena. Every time there was a sold-out show, the cell service would be rough the whole time from people sending videos and such. When the shows let out it would be a complete meltdown while people tried to get Ubers.

There’s a happy medium. I have a slightly newer VW GTI (2017) with a touchscreen but there are still buttons and dials for basically everything. It’s a perfect infotainment system if you ask me :)

You must really hate going to the movies. If I spend $60-70 on a game and get 50-100+ hours of entertainment from that money spent that’s a dub in my book.

If someone enjoys flight simming it’s not really a question, they will buy this game because it’s one of the best all-around sims.

Since you mentioned you got your hearing checked and everything is okay… Auditory Processing Disorder is a pretty common neurodivergence with a lot of overlap with ADHD/OCD/depression/anxiety/et al. It’s common with any or all of the others, but it shows up in neurotypical people too.

My building has these and 2 of them failed in the first year. Can’t replace the battery so had to replace the whole thing.

Lol I’ve always had food aggressive dogs but my current GSD is a saint by comparison. She doesn’t really mess with our food and we have left food on our coffee table overnight more than once and she didn’t touch it. Counter food is more than safe despite the fact that it would take her almost no effort to grab it.

The one exception is carrots. If we’re chopping carrots and walk away they’re as good as gone 😭

That’s something, lol. I’m not irreplaceable but it would be an absolute clusterfuck if I left, at least for a while.

I do a good job of documenting everything but so much of my work relies on scripts that I wrote and never properly deployed - a mix of python and VBA, and all my reporting relies on an API connection that nobody else maintains and other than a handful of queries I shared, nobody really knows how to use it.

I’m not trying to be shitty but it’s job security.

Think about it longer term… All the people struggling at the bottom now have secure housing. More money is free for nutrition, hygiene, they can get better jobs or afford schooling… Trades or higher education. More people have a chance to escape poverty and contribute production, get more money to spend, more money gets out into local economies. So and so forth. It’s a good idea.

I don’t fly a lot, but that’s also its main use. I’m on a trip right now, I bought Pokemon just for this trip :)

Yeah no way that isn’t filled with dried piss or worse. Nowadays gas stations sell glass pipes, but even if you’re desperate an apple or soda can will do the trick.

Just sharing my experience here as well. I bought a Dell gaming monitor - it was a TN panel with gsync and 144hz it was quite expensive at the time.

Anyway, that piece of shit was replaced 5x under warranty. Faulty panel, backlight dying, lots of issues with input ports, broke firmware, etc. their warranty and service was top notch, but that was a lot to go through with a $500 piece of equipment. I bought an LG after that one died and have had 0 issues.

I don’t make 100k, but me and my fiance make about 140k combined and that gets us a 1BR apartment in North Chicago and we share a car. We live better than when we each made about $40k but six figures isn’t what it used to be.
