Not a fan of these genetics, some freebie silver haze. Complete opposite sides of growth for them and both have shown mutations. One’s nice and spaced out with popcorn type buds and these are just single massive colas.

I hate it when that happens, white label seeds can be really bad with documentation.

A couple years ago I got some that turned out to be pretty good but all the breeder called them was “Ultimate Auto” which is super helpful… Or not. TLDR I found out a little about them but there was a lot of conflicting information from the breeder, the vendor, and even social media accounts. I’ve still got a couple of the seeds, the eventual plan is to do a feminized pollen run and then at some point a small pheno hunting run to see what it might have left in the tank compared to the original seed. Probably a year or two off from that if I’m honest, I’ve got enough projects right now.

The unfortunate thing is, is it appears to be across the board. All the useful information they used to have on every seed is no just generic marketing terms and phrases it seems.

In my experience it just depends on the vendor. If you’re buying from a reseller then I tend to agree, and a lot of the newer companies are especially prone to showing a couple pics and declaring it indica/sativa/hybrid that’s the best thing ever if you’d just hurry up and buy already.

What I usually do is shop around the vendor and breeder websites for particular traits. Sometimes I’m looking for a particular dominant terpene, sometimes it’s more of a flavor, sometimes I’m looking just to look. I’ve found that the more reputable breeders still document their stuff, but that information doesn’t always get reposted to the reseller sites. Once I’ve found something that sounds interesting I usually head back to the breeder and look for the information myself. It doesn’t always work out for me but more often than not I can find what I’m after.

What I mean is the website used to tell you a whole host of information, breeder, their information, a blurp on growing and its difficulty, its yield, its affects and downsides.

Now it’s just 2 columns of information like you would find on a flash card.

When I found the website I was able to research the breeder and the strains lineage.
