I got a medical card here in LA and the prices are outrageous. Getting a dablicator with full spectrum oil seems to be the most cost effective. Trouble is I can’t seem to figure out how to use it.
At first I just ate it but I think I wasted $90 because I felt nothing and I don’t think it was decarbed.
Next I got some refillable 510 thread vapes and a small syringe to fill it. That has been a pain but it at least works a bit.
How am I supposed to use this stuff? Is it all the same or are there different kinds? Is it decarbed at all or not meant for vaping?
I only ever get sublinguals for that. You just put a drop or two under your tongue and let it get absorbed through your gums. Tastes awful most of the time, and personally gives me heart burn the way fishoil does. But the pain relief and feeling of relaxation is amazing.
Do you have a Weedmaps link or anything for what you bought?
If I’m understanding what you bought correctly you should be able to do just about anything with it.
Some people eat it or put it under their tongue for a bit before swallowing it, other people vape/smoke it or add it to flower and then vape/smoke it. It should already be decarbed unless you mistakenly bought something else that was meant specifically for vaping or smoking.
I’ve seen decarbed oils and dab oil come in similar packaging before though so a picture or link would be helpful to confirm things.
This is the current one i have https://www.iheartjane.com/products/1554850/good-day-farm-og-kush
I have gotten a different kind in the dablicator format from Good Day Farms too.
That looks like a product that’s meant to be vaped or smoked in a dab rig, so very likely not decarbed. It’s being advertised as “full spectrum concentrate” which is usually an indicator it’s meant for vaping or smoking, and the fancy applicator is just to make it easier to get it where you want it without extra dab tools and extra mess.
I can’t say with 100% certainty if that product is suitable for anything though since the details are extremely sparse. For future reference here’s a cheat sheet on what has to be decarbed before use and what doesn’t.
Ok neat. It is CO2 extracted according to the box.
What is a dab rig? Is it appreciably different from a 510 vape? I have heard of dab’s before but never understood them either
Traditionally a dab rig is like a bubbler or bong with a glass nail/bowl that you heat up with a torch and then apply to the concentrate. It would be like a 510 vape on steroids, similar to having a glass of wine versus a glass of whiskey.
I actually met the Weedmaps people at a convention, they were nice.
My experience has been that most people who are in to weed are friendly, decent people. There’s always outliers though.
I would like to see the mythical stoner that smokes a fat blunt to their dome and becomes enraged. For science purposes.
Dude the cheapest good bud you’ll find is at the shadiest of places. Don’t go to the mainstream dispensaries or chains, go to the actual medical dispensaries with your rec, no tax at those either. If you want to stick with concentrate find a place with deals, a lot of places have crazy ones on specific days of the week, like BoGo or everything is half off. In this city, you can also just makes friends with a grower and get flower for super cheap or at cost.
Unless I am misunderstanding LA law, I have a prescription to a specific Dispensary so I don’t really get to shop around. I could go back to my “dr” for a new prescription but i doubt thats gonna be free.
Unless they changed the medical card system in the last 3 years, that’s not true. You can use that rec at any dispensary and they’ll waive the state tax. At medical ones they waive both state and county tax. Check the rec and see if it specifies a dispensary location, they used to just specify the doctor you got it from to ensure it’s real.
