The problem with your whole premise is that Finland is not socialist, nor is Iceland and Norway. In fact on the Index of economic freedom all three of those countries have a higher rating than the US does. If you want to look at actual socialist countries they are much lower on the economic freedom index.
Gotcha, you have fallen into the trap of picking a team and agreeing with everything it says.
