Sarah and the Safe Word have some absolute bangers
Infected Mushroom. They have a sound unlike anything I’ve heard anywhere else. I recommend the album Army of Mushrooms to newcomers, but their entire collection is solid.
I wouldn’t say they are underrated, just niche.
They make psytrance, it’s super popular in Israel, and in the general rave scene. Used to be waaay bigger in the 2Ks.
I find that their take on psytrance has a lot more going on than the usual rave stuff. Theyve been published a few times by Monstercat which shows that they fit more into this - for lack of a better word - “gaming” EDM.
Yeah they definitely have their own style, and love to experiment.
Yeah I’ve had a couple tracks by them in my “to download” Spotify playlist for years. Fun sound but not for every occasion. “Project 100” is the track that put them on my radar.

My favorite underrated band is Red Hot Rebellion.
My top three favorite songs of theirs are For the Benefit of Evil, You Bring The Thunder, I’ll Bring The Lightning, and Crushing It.

Social Distortion has so many amazing songs and maybe 2 or 3 get rare airplay on the radio.
My first thought too. I can listen to their entire discography without skipping a single song. And they are even better live. Saw them a month ago and even after tonsil cancer Mike hasn’t slowed down a bit.
Mindless Self Indulgence. They are criminally underrated. Although their older stuff is better than the newer.
There was that one time that lead singer Jimmy Urine was accused of grooming, sexually assaulting, and molesting a 15-year-old girl, so that was kind of a thing.

I consider liking their music to be a red flag tbh. I liked them as a teenager during my edgy phase but their music does absolutely nothing for me now

I’m an MSI listener and I am sorely aware of their problematic past. Are you a new fan by any chance? They wrote a paedophilic song (Panty Shot) and have used the N-word and F-word pretty liberally.
