Oh, don’t get me wrong, I’ve known pretty much since Keith took over the party that he’s been a Tory in a red tie. My belief initially was that he was just letting the Tories be so shit that he could basically continue to be a Tory and it would still look better by comparison. Now I’m of the belief that his actual goal for years has been literally to get Nigel Farage and Reform elected, whatever public face he puts on, whatever he claims Labour policy is, functionally he is just working for Farage (and/or the people that Farage is working for, we can make a pretty decent guess who that is).

Every day I grow more and more convinced that Labour’s overriding goal is to get Reform elected in a few years

As far as I know it is a full Mister, just in a PSOne style shell, so it doesn’t just play PSX games - in my experience (having bought the Mister Pi a few months ago) it even runs Sega Saturn and N64 stuff well

A good starting point would be normalising questioning it and exploring it, and making it OK at the end to conclude that you are trans or you are cis, but that feels like a long way off

I can see where you’re coming from and I kind of agree, from my perspective - and perhaps many other people’s perspectives - being able to attach a label to myself after some exploration and introspection really helped me get things straight in my head. I felt much better about myself along the way when I was able to say “I’m asexual”, then again when I was able to say “oh shit I’m agender too”. I struggled more with “oh shit I’m transfem too” but that’s partly because of all of the everything going on in the world lately and also because now I’m aware of dysphoria in a way I wasn’t before I put a label on it. Overall, mixed result 🤷‍♀️

I think what we should be aiming at is not clinging rigidly to labels - it should be treated as OK and normal for people to think about their labels and if they still really feel like those labels fit at every point in the process. We treat it as relatively normal for someone to go “I think I’m straight?”, “oh no wait, I think I’m bi?”, “oh wait no, I think I’m gay”, for example, but then we treat that final stage as the final stage, like now you’re gay and it’s set in stone.

I kinda wonder sometimes how many cis people actually are cis and just haven’t had a reason to confront it. Like, I thought I was for a long time so it’s not unreasonable to me that there are probably a lot more trans people than any of us think, they just don’t ever discover it 🤔

I cannot stress enough how untrustworthy any of you moderators are now, because how do any of us know that in a few days or weeks or months you won’t just randomly close the community and decide you’re moving elsewhere. In short, I really don’t care if you continue to move over, or stay on .world, or do anything else, I don’t want any part of your community anymore. And I don’t see how anyone else would either, but that’s entirely their business

I’m flip-flopping between “I’ll just suppress it, my dysphoria isn’t too bad” and fatalistic “I’m just gonna fucking do it and fuck everyone who argues 🖕” Current plan is to LARP as a cis guy being very obnoxiously pro-trans, I can at least hopefully make some TERFs uncomfortable that way

I feel that. I came to realise I was transfem earlier last year and I live on TERF Island, so we traded one transphobic government for another one. It’s hard, and I’m still figuring out what I’m going to do about it 🙁
