I played with friends and always got frustrated. You can’t just fuck around and discover new stuff. It kind of works like that right at the beginning and that’s a lot of fun. Id say it works right until after you beat skeletron or maybe when you first go to hell, but if you want to get far at all it turns into a “wiki game” where everyone has to have the terraria wiki open in another window to learn where they have to farm to get the next good armor.
