You just reminded me of a perfect question mark I wrote a couple of years ago
When I was in college this was one of the biggest pleasures studying math gave me. Every semester I learned new letters and did practice sheets to try different strikes, shapes. Still remember explaining to my wife why the fancy L from a Laplace transformation couldn’t be an l (that’s already living individuals with age x in life tables) or L (can’t remember the reason now). My H from hypothesis testing was spectacular.
Yes!!! Jaw dropped when I say xi for the first time, though I will say I was astounded that mathemeticians use so many simple letters with font styling that are easy to confuse, like how am I supposed to differentiate 𝖌 in writing from polynomial g 💀
I used to did Xi as an inverted 3, with a little tail like the one in ç. And I had to re do my X^2 after a friend asked me why my homework was full os swastikas.
